Upper Elementary Lead Teachers/Guides
The Montessori of Maui (MOMI) is accepting applications for Montessori credentialed, Upper Elementary School lead teachers/guides. Looking to enhance our program currently in its 43rd year, successful applicants will hold a Montessori teaching credential from an accredited teacher education program. The successful applicants will partner with existing faculty to enrich curricula and to support the growth and development of children against standards that are aligned across all programs. In transition but experiencing robust enrollment in newly expanded environments, the Upper Elementary team orchestrates the delivery of the curriculum to all students via a team-based model.
MOMI is an independent, non-profit school located on a beautiful 9-acre campus in upcountry Maui, Hawaii. DESCRIPTION
The Lead Teacher works to preserve the high standards of Montessori excellence and Montessori best teaching practices within the classroom community. The Lead Teacher is a guide who helps direct the students’ activities academically, emotionally and physically in a Prepared Montessori environment that challenges each of the children to reach their full potential in these developmental areas, in accordance with Montessori philosophy, policies and procedures.
