Our next full-time Spanish teacher will develop reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills for proficiency in the Spanish language, tailor lesson plans and projects for students, and complete assessments of individual student progress. The incumbent will work with students from Toddler through Middle School, ultimately preparing students for high school level Spanish II. Curriculum includes teaching about diverse Spanish culture, traditions, and social conventions.
The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Spanish language or equivalent; proven written and verbal proficiency in Spanish; and a teaching certificate or license. Candidates with Montessori Certification preferred. The incumbent will possess strong classroom management skills that foster respect for the students’ developmental needs, demonstrate enthusiasm for working with a team of professionals, possess a positive spirit, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Most of all, the successful candidate will demonstrate keen enthusiasm and appreciation for Ruffing’s culture, values, and mission.
