Lighthouse Montessori School is seeking a Co-Lead Montessori Teacher to join our community for the 2022-2023 school year. For the right candidate, we will consider employment during spring 2022. Lighthouse Montessori School is currently seeking a Co-Lead Montessori Teacher for our Primary Classroom for the Morning Work cycle.
Lighthouse Montessori School is a beautiful and bright school located north of downtown Seattle in the charming neighborhood of Ballard. We have a fully equipped learning environment with extensions to the outdoors.
Position summary:
The Lead Montessori Teacher will implement the curriculum in a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment that supports each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth and development.
Facilitate classroom activities.
Acknowledges and encourages diversity and varying viewpoints by providing images and experiences that reflect the local and global communities.
Create engaging, age-appropriate lessons while holding true to the Montessori Model.
Establish classroom management utilizing Positive Discipline and Nonviolent Communication methods.
Encourage and assist in positive social interactions.
Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
Experience and Education:
AMI, AMS certification.
Knowledgeable about Montessori philosophy and materials.
Experience in a Montessori classroom.
Specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation
