The Montessori Lead Teacher will be responsible for implementing Montessori practices in
our Toddler One classroom (children who are Birth-3 years old). He/she is responsible for
providing a safe and nurturing Montessori environment for the children in his/her care,
following the expectations set forth by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
• Associates degree or higher in education
• A Montessori certification (strong preference)
• Commensurate experience working in a child development center; and
• First aid and CPR certification; and
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Provides safe, nurturing, and stimulating Montessori environment for children in the class
with developmentally-appropriate materials and curriculum;
Ensures the safety of the children, including responsibility for completing any incident
reports and notifying parents and/or authorities;
Meets the physical requirement of the teaching position:
Compensation
Lead Teachers are paid bi-monthly (26 pay periods per year) on an hourly basis.
Lead Teachers are classified as non-exempt are paid overtime for all hours worked over 40
hours in a given week.
Lead Teachers are eligible for all benefits offered full-time Small Savers employees.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $24.59 – $36.11 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
