Infant/Toddler Teacher. We are looking for a energetic, reliable, fun loving individual that loves to help children become independent successful individuals. The person selected for this position will be responsible for implementing Montessori curriculum, preparing materials, and supervising infant/toddler staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE 12 ECE UNITS 3 UNITS MUST BE INFANT/TODDLER SPECIFIC.

APPLICANT MUST HAVE MONTESSORI CREDENTIALS

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise all infant care staff.

Assign and direct personnel resources ensuring compliance with staff infant/toddler ratios and supervision.

Administer goals and policies of Montessori Academy of Upland.

Implementing methods for effective on the job training of classroom assistants and new teachers.

Be available to the children in your care, their families and your staff.

Maintain and up-date infant needs and services plan.

Planning, supervising, and implementing the program for the class in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the school.

Gearing the program to the needs of individual children with concerns for their interests, special talent and individual style and pace of learning.

Genuine love of working with infants/toddlers and able to develop effective and meaningful relationships with children.

Contemporary understanding of infants/toddlers and theories of child development.

Able to work individually and as a team member.

Being responsible for the ordered arrangement, appearance, décor, and learning environment of the classroom.

Assuming an equal share of the joint housekeeping responsibilities of the staff.

Attending all staff meetings. Planning and implementing one staff training meeting each school year.

Conducting parent-teacher conference on infants/toddlers school adjustment, classroom behavior, and development.

Complete End of Year Progress Report due two weeks from the last day of school.

Assisting in the ongoing evaluation procedures needed to assess the development levels of the children.

Job Type: Full-time, 8 Hour
