The Learning Resource Teacher/Specialist will work with our Learning Support Team to provide additional academic support for children in a prepared Montessori environment. This environment shall challenge each child to reach his/her fullest potential in accordance with the Montessori philosophy and MSNV policies and procedures.
This position will work with individual and/or small groups of children who have been identified as needing additional support during the academic year. The Learning Resource Teacher/Specialist will also administer assessments to students as needed. This position will also work closely with the classroom teacher to facilitate learning in an environment that respects each individual student to reach academic success.
College degree in education or other related field and at least three years of experience in a learning support position required. Montessori Teaching credential preferred. Reading Assessment experience desired such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading Program, etc. This position may be a part time or full-time position.
