John XXIII Montessori Center is offering the opportunity to walk alongside six to twelve-year-old children on their journey of self-discovery and learning so they can live joyfully in God’s love and fulfill their unique call in life. We are seeking a mature, assertive Montessori Lead Elementary Guide for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Job Description Summary

● Joyfully live the mission of John XXIII.

● Be a witness to Jesus Christ and live according to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, guiding children on their journey of self-discovery and learning.

● Creatively plan and implement a Catholic Montessori curriculum using AMI academic standards.

● Shape the whole child by cultivating a safe, harmonious environment rooted in mutual respect between you, the children, and the Elementary Assistant.

● Prepare and maintain a natural, ordered, and aesthetically vibrant environment designed with Montessori principles to provide goodness and beauty to the children.

● Foster and lead a strong, collegial relationship with the Elementary Assistant with mature communication and clear expectations in duties. Lead regular meetings, placing the child at the center of your collaboration.

● Regularly collaborate with the elementary catechists and ensure that the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and children’s faith formation remain at the heart of their education.

● Lead the Elementary Assistant (and any adult in the classroom) with charity and clear expectations. Provide ongoing training as necessary. Give daily instructions on needs and assist in resolving challenges.

● Collaborate with parents as the primary educators of their children through respectful and ongoing lines of communication.
