AMI Trained Primary Guide – North American Montessori Teachers Association

Anami Montessori School, in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an AMI-trained primary teacher

for the 2021-22 school year. If you would like to teach the way you were trained, this

may be the school for you. Anami is a privately owned, AMI school with AMI-trained

founder/director. The campus backs onto a 120-acre county park.

Anami has two primary classes and one 6-12 class, all well-established and led by

teachers dedicated to carrying out Dr. Montessori’s principles. (The current teachers’

average tenure at Anami is 17 years.) After 35 years of serving children, and staying true

to AMI principles, Anami is proud to be an intimate, nurturing community. Each fully

stocked classroom has an ample annual materials budget.

With a temperate climate, Charlotte is culturally diverse, within an easy drive of either

the mountains or the beach, is the hub of a major airline, and has an outdoor-minded

population.

A successful candidate is dedicated, a hard-working team player, and should be able to

operate in the classroom without undue supervision. Prior experience and a sense of
