Ghent Montessori School, fully accredited by International Montessori Council, located in

downtown Norfolk, VA, seeks an Upper Elementary intern or guide for our Upper Elementary

classroom beginning in August, 2021. If needed the candidate will receive guidance from an

experienced Upper Elementary guide. The preferred candidate will have worked in a Lower

Elementary classroom as a lead teacher and hold a MACTE accredited diploma. We seek

nurturing, curious and self-motivated individuals who are committed to guiding children based

on Dr. Montessori’s vision for cosmic education.

Qualifications:

• MACTE accredited training required (AMI, AMS, IMC)

• Excellent written communication as well as interpersonal and public speaking skills

• A proven ability to work collaboratively and thoughtfully as part of a collegial team

• Possession of professional maturity, sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to interact

positively with parents
