English-speaking AMI Primary trained teacher- Three month Maternity Leave
Ms. Lam Montessori, a Mandarin-English Montessori school, seeking a fluent English speaker to begin January 2027, for a three months maternity leave. As a Mandarin immersion school your responsibility is to offer rigorous and engaging English lessons in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York.
Must have qualifications, attributes and skills:
Fluent written and spoken English
Engaging lessons to help support the child’s interest in reading, writing, and cultural studies
Tailor lessons to the needs of individual children while offering interesting small and large group lessons.
Act as a team player committed to professional and personal growth
Own setting standards for children’s progress
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to get up and down from the floor and stools.
Exceptional Candidates have the above and:
An AMI Primary 3-6 diploma or the desire to pursue training
NY State Teacher Certification or the ability to complete certification
