Montessori Academy of Upland is seeking a dedicated, organized, and passionate Upper Elementary Montessori Guide to join our school community for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for an educator who understands and values the Montessori philosophy and is committed to supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally in a peaceful and respectful learning environment.
The Upper Elementary Teacher will guide students through a rich Montessori curriculum, support independent learning, foster responsibility and curiosity, and maintain a prepared classroom environment that encourages concentration, collaboration, and growth.
The Upper Elementary Montessori Guide will be responsible for:
Preparing and maintaining a Montessori classroom environment
Planning and presenting lessons across the Upper Elementary curriculum
Supporting individualized student progress and academic development
Encouraging independence, responsibility, and respectful classroom community
Observing, documenting, and assessing student growth
Communicating professionally with parents, administration, and staff
Supporting school policies, procedures, and Montessori philosophy
Creating a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment
Participating in school events, meetings, and professional development as needed
Qualified candidates should have:
Montessori Elementary Credential from a MACTE-accredited program
Experience working with elementary-aged children in a Montessori setting
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with administration, staff, students, and families
Commitment to Montessori philosophy and child-centered education
Candidates must have or be willing to obtain:
CPR Certification
First Aid Certification
