Willistown Country Day School is a private, non profit organization established in 1972.

Position purpose:

Willistown Country Day School is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, organized and caring lead teacher to join our small community and serve as a Director to the building. This is a 10 month, full-time position (mid-August through mid-June). The position hours are Monday – Friday, 7:45AM – 3:45PM with a once a week staff meeting after school. Salary is based upon experience/credentials. Benefits for full-time employees include health, dental, paid sick days and holidays and partial tuition remission for qualified dependents.

Cultivate and generate a completely student-led environment, filled with authentic Montessori materials, philosophy and practice

Value in working in partnership with parents

Good communication skills with students and parents

Detailed record keeping of students’ progress

Model and teach appropriate conflict resolution and problem-solving strategies

Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal

Essential Skills & Experience:

Holds Montessori Elementary Credential (I or I &II)

Holds a BS in Elementary education

At least 2 years experience in a Montessori classroom

Strong sense of professionalism.

Maintain open communication with administration and colleagues

Complies with all state education and licensing standards, and maintains validation of credentials for the position.

Strong classroom management skills.
