We are launching a private, Montessori-aligned homeschool co-op on Daniel Island for children ages 1 to 5. Rooted in AMI/AMS philosophy, our program emphasizes independence, curiosity, and deep respect for the child. We are seeking a certified, passionate Montessori guide to lead our multi-age environment with warmth, intention, and joy.

This is a rare opportunity to teach Montessori the way it was meant to be—outside institutional constraints and in close partnership with families who share your values. You’ll have freedom to co-create the environment, curate materials, and shape a nurturing daily rhythm grounded in the natural world and the child’s innate drive to learn.

🔧 WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead a small, mixed-age group (max 10 children) using authentic Montessori practices

• Design and maintain a beautiful, developmentally appropriate environment

• Propose monthly classroom themes and activity rotations, in partnership with families

• Observe, guide, and support each child’s individual learning path

• Mentor and support 1–2 assistant or intern-level educators

• Collaborate with parents to ensure a consistent Montessori approach across home and classroom

• Help shape and grow a meaningful, intentional co-op community

WHO YOU ARE:

• A certified Montessori guide (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited)

• Experienced with ages 0 to 6, ideally across both Infant/Toddler and Primary levels

• Deeply passionate about child-led, respectful, whole-child education

• Creative, observant, grounded, and capable of leading a peaceful, purposeful classroom

• Open to working collaboratively with parents and other educators in a non-traditional setting

• Flexible: open to part-time or full-time based on your availability

• School hours: likely 8:30 AM–12:30 PM, with potential for full-day growth

• Location: Daniel Island, SC

• Competitive pay based on experience
