Marin Montessori School, located on a stunning waterfront campus in Corte Madera, is seeking an Additional School Support Assistant to join our dedicated and collaborative faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly regarded Montessori school with a 60-year legacy of educating children and teens in the Bay Area.

Start Date: August 2025

Schedule: M-F; 7:30 am – 3:30 pm

Salary Range: $34-$37/hr

Hiring Bonus: $1,000; $500 on your first payroll and $500 after successful completion of three months of employment.

The Additional School Support Assistant plays a key role in maintaining the continuity and rhythm of our vibrant classroom environments. This flexible and adaptable individual works alongside Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers to support the physical and emotional well-being of our students when regular staff are unavailable.

Responsibilities Include:

Providing support in classrooms across all age levels, from early childhood to elementary, as needed.

Supporting classroom teams by observing children, assisting with transitions, and contributing to the consistency of classroom routines.

Covering staff breaks, playground supervision, naptime, car line, and drop-off/pick-up routines.

Assisting with administrative tasks and material preparation when not directly supporting classrooms.

Being a calm and reliable presence for both students and staff across the school.

This position requires someone who can quickly and respectfully adapt to a variety of classroom communities and who has a deep appreciation for the Montessori philosophy. The right candidate is observant, centered, and committed to supporting the developmental needs of children in a nurturing and respectful way.

Marin Montessori School is a thriving community of 230 lower school and 50 junior high students located on two beautiful campuses in Corte Madera and San Rafael. Qualifications and Attributes:

AMI Primary Certification

Minimum of six Early Childhood Education (ECE) units and willingness to enroll in coursework to complete 12 ECE units as soon as possible

Demonstrated flexibility, warmth, and commitment to supporting children

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Ability to sit on and rise from the floor with ease
