Cedar River Montessori School, on the outskirts of Seattle, WA, is looking for a Middle School teacher specializing in mathematics to start late summer 2022. The ideal candidate will deeply value adolescents, appreciating how to connect with them individually and guide them as they grow in their understanding of themselves and their relationships with others. The candidate will be committed to the long-term success of the program and the students, leading the program with the current co-teacher. The classroom community includes 12 to 15 seventh and eighth grade students, with specialist teachers for environmental studies, animal husbandry, art, and physical education.
Teachers who have Montessori (AMS, AMI, MACTE) 6-12 training and want to take the next step in their career are strongly encouraged to apply, as are progressive educators who do not have Montessori training. There is an opportunity for tuition reimbursement for an incoming teacher to pursue Montessori secondary training.
