Since the first NAMTA Directory, published in 1972, NAMTA has kept Montessorians in touch with each other and with the world.

NAMTA employs a broad communications system including periodicals, an audio-visual collection, workshops, conferences, the Internet, and research.

As an affiliate society of the Association Montessori Internationale (Amsterdam, Netherlands), we strive to promote the highest quality in Montessori programming.
